ARTIST'S STATEMENT
When I began making sculpture over forty years ago, vessels were among the first forms I carved. I began making them again in the summer of 2010 when a collector in Atlanta, Georgia commissioned a series of cedar vessels carved from the wood of a large red cedar that had stood in front of her childhood home near Greenville, South Carolina.
