ARTIST'S STATEMENT
When a local collector couple, who are longstanding friends as well as loyal patrons, requested that I make a frame for one of the drawings they had purchased, My first instinct was to recommend to them one of the fine frame shops in our town.  I needed the money at the moment, so I said, gratefully, "yes."  It has turned out to be one of the more rewarding projects I have done in a long time.  Together, the drawing and construction forge a far more powerful statement than either would alone.
In the future, I may build frames for all my drawings before they are offered for public view.
