ARTIST'S STATEMENT
In the winter of 2005, I was recovering from surgery, and unable to work at sculpture. A friend invited me to lunch, and during lunch said, "I want you to do a painting for us. Would this be enough?" and laid a check on the table that was way more than "enough." I did about a dozen landscape paintings by the end of the summer before coming up with a couple that he wanted to live with.Within a year, the rest had all sold.
